Deacon Beth Galbreath

Rev. Beth Galbreath is an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church. Deacons are the UMC’s “specialist” clergy. Her specialty is “digital culture ministry,” meaning that she helps churches with technology, Biblical storytelling and spiritual formation - whatever the Church needs to do to connect with 21st Century digital-culture people.

She is a gifted Biblical storyteller and trainer in storytelling, a videographer, and a strong supporter of mission. She is vice president of the Network of Biblical Storytellers international and coordinator of its regional branch, Prairie Wind Guild: Tellers of Sacred Stories. Deacon Beth teaches online and face-to-face classes in Biblical storytelling through the  Wilke Institute, and leads story-based spiritual retreats and Bible studies. She is the author of The Story and the Feast, a digital resource of liturgy for Holy Communion tied to the stories of the Bible (more at www.bethgalbreath.com) .

Deacon Beth earned her B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan, a M.A. from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern, and an M.A. from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. She holds the United Methodist Certification in Spiritual Formation. She has been active in church work in many settings. She is an amazing wife, mother, and “grandmom”.
