Cookies for Kairos—Donations needed by February 15th

The February 17th to 19th weekend of the Kairos prison ministry at Dwight Correctional Center is in preparation, and the opportunity to donate much-loved cookies for the women attendees (and team) is here again. Prison regulations require commercial, factory-sealed packages of cookies. They can be any kind of cookies except anything with nuts of any kind, due to the potential for allergic reactions. So no peanut butter, pecan sandies, etc. Anything else is very welcome, and expresses God’s love in a tangible way to women whose lives have had very little love. Please put the cookies in the box in the church lobby marked “Kairos Cookies.” Thank you!

“Souper” Bowl Sunday

In the spirit of Super Bowl XLVI, the West Suburban Pantry “Souper Bowl I” collection of hearty soups will be held for the entire month of February. The pantry shelves are lacking hearty soups and winter weather has just begun. Help us spread the word!
