Look at Me!!!!

This week we will take another look at the story about the Pharisee and the tax collector in the temple praying.  A little self reflection is always good, but there is also a level of self-awareness that is needed as well.  "LOOK AT ME!" is the message that echoes in the temple between these two men and sometimes even in today's temples and churches.

How do we respond to God's grace in our lives?  Let's talk about it.  I invite you to join us on Sunday at 9 or 10:30 a.m.  ALL are welcome.

"True honest humility is acknowledging God as our creator.  Each of us is His beloved child and we belong to him." - Anonymous

"[The] story of the pharisee and the tax collector; we do not want to be aligned with the pharisee because he was judgmental and proud; need to re-think being aligned with the tax collector who lived his life by extortion and coercion.

Humility does not equal weakness.  We should look at God, who he is and that we are loved by God.  We need to recognize we are blessed and what he has done in our lives.

God has given me the power to change me, not other people.  We should consider ourselves blessed and grateful.  In the midst of the turmoil - God is there.  We need to use this knowledge to live lifting and caring lives." - Glenn
