Teaching the Unmentionables to the Unmanageables

For the last couple of weeks, we have been focusing on children's program Mister Rogers' Neighborhood as a result of the movie "Beautiful Day In the Neighborhood".  This will be our last week to focus on this subject matter.  For some of you, it makes you very happy!!  For others, you will remember how important the lessons taught and learned through Fred Rogers and his odd ways, are to the whole of life.

This week, we will look at one of the phrases that was used quite a bit in the movie and by Fred Rogers...."if it's mentionable, it's manageable".  How often do we "avoid" conversations about topics that are considered "difficult"? Or don't say certain things because we fear that someone's feelings may be hurt, or something may be taken the wrong way/misunderstood, or make someone angry?  Well, maybe not so much in Mister Rogers' Neighborhood and seemingly for Jesus either!!  Let's take a look at how Jesus goes about the task of "Teaching the Unmentionables to the UnManageables".  The Gospel accordign to Mark in chapter 4 gives us a glimpse of it.

Join us on Sunday at 9 or 10:30 a.m. as we take one last ride on the Neighborhood Trolley in Misterr Rogers' Neighborhood.  ALL are welcome!
