Calling all children 3rd grade and older! Come join the Order of the Acolytes!
 
An Acolyte is someone who lights the candles on the altar at the beginning of the worship service and will be present with the Pastors during the service. They assist the Pastors in preparation of Holy Communion and they extinguish the candles at the end of the service. It is a special ministry at Woodridge United Methodist Church led by Deonne Senese.  
 
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5:00pm to 5:45pm.  We enjoy dinner together, participate in learning our role in being an Acolyte, and learn about the various parts of the worship service. We welcome new members at any time.

February Acolyte Meeting

The Acolytes will meet in February on Wednesday, February 15th at 5:00 to 5:45pm. As usual, we will enjoy dinner together and practice lighting of the candles. We welcome new acolytes anytime.
