Curriculum
The young child typically undergoes their first separation from the family and their first exposure to a group situation. Our program encourages children to develop a love for school by making them feel important and valued as a member of the class. Special units of interest are presented through the use of stories, language, dramatic play, large and small group time, introduction to alphabet and simple math and science activities. The daily schedule provides a structure which makes the young child feel secure and competent.
Our Pre-K program is designed to prepare children both academically and socially for kindergarten. Throughout the year, we will work on math, language, science and creative skills through a variety of group and independent activities including daily worksheets and art projects, weekly science experiments and journal writing. We will also focus on self-help, problem-solving and social skills in a positive, fun and supportive environment.
