We are at the third part of our Advent journey to Bethlehem and our theme this week is JOY.  The 3rd candle on the Advent wreath (known as the JOY CANDLE) will be lit. 

Joy and happiness are elusive for some people especially during this time of year even though all that surrounds us would indicate otherwise.  Some are dealing with the harsher realities of life, the loss of loved ones, or disenchantment with their circumstances.  It definitely is not a "holly jolly" season for everybody!! 

As we continue our journey, let us nor forget that everyone is not at the same place emotionally or otherwise as we are. Always remember to exercise compassion and care in all the ways that we can.  What are the ways we can show "JOY ON THE JOURNEY" is our task for the week.
