Mission to Please

So we have been journeying through the Acts of the Apostles for the last several weeks. Don't worry, we are not leaving Acts but going to the region of Galatia where the first journey took place. Paul sends a letter to the churches of Galatia and reminds them of who he is but more importantly of why the church exists at all. Paul is amazed at how quickly the people have turned away from the teachings of Christ and going back to "what used to be". How quickly we as people, forget about the future and become comfortable with the past!! Paul was on a MISSION TO PLEASE not the people, but to please God and share the message of Christ. We are the modern-day missionaries to the world and must be clear about our mission. Let's talk about where we should be headed for our missionary journey.

Series Information

In this sermon series, the story of the early church unfolds before us. Many of the challenges they faced are the same (or very similar) to the ones we face in 2018. Questions around leadership, why we should believe in the first place, who to believe and the age-old question of who is “in” and who should be kept “out”.
