Our Vision for Youth Ministry at WUMC
For WUMC to be a place to belong, a place to know God loves you, and a place to hear God calling you to a life of loving service for the transformation of the world.
Worship, conversation, study, prayer and serving others are our main tools for accomplishing that vision.
Sunday worship gatherings and Wednesday Night Live are the main times those tools are practiced. We hope you'll join us.
Wednesday Night Live
Wednesdays, 6:15pm to 8:45pm. Our weekly gatherings consist of dinner, worship, learning experience, time for homework and time for games and fellowship. All students in 7th to 12th grade are welcome and invited! Bring a friend!
Next WNL:Wednesday, Feb. 22: Ash Wednesday. Dinner as usual, then worship for all at 7:30. Our youth devised an excellent, faithful plan for worship! They've chosen music and scripture to help us encounter penitence and repentance. Some of our youth will also perform instrumental music during times of reflection. One of our youth created original artwork for the bulletin cover. Join us for this evening of contemplation, inspiration, and imposition of ashes.
Wednesday, Feb. 29: Game night! After several consecutive weeks of intense study and planning, it's time for a break. Let's play some games! Regular schedule with dinner and homework time, concluding with worship.
Fundraisers
Our next fundraiser is this Sunday, February 19th at Buffalo Wild Wings on Rt 53 (in 7 Bridges). Simply bring in the flyer (linked below) and they will give our Youth Ministries part of the proceeds. They are open 11:00am to 1:00am.
