Reconciliation is a Team Effort

How do we handle conflict and hurt within the church? In Matthew 18, Jesus offers a step-by-step process for accountability, ending with the instruction to treat an unrepentant offender as a "Gentile and tax collector." While church history has often used this to justify cutting people off, Jesus' own ministry shows us a different path.
Jesus welcomed, taught, and loved tax collectors and outsiders. Treating someone as an outsider doesn't mean giving up on them—it means changing our tactics to offer grace, gentle invitation, and a path back toward repentance. Join us this Sunday as we explore how clothing ourselves in Christ (Romans 13) empowers us to do the hard, sacred work of healing broken relationships together.
