This Holy Mystery: Revealing Table Secrets part 4: Extending the Table
This is our fourth and final week on our journey of looking at holy communion from the topic "THIS HOLY MYSTERY: REVEALING TABLE SECRETS". What is it about the Lord's Supper/Holy Communion that makes it so important in our lives and on this journey of faith? What are the parts of the Communion liturgy that makes it different than just a mid morning snack? The Table of Christ is an essential part of who we are, whose we are, and what we believe.
Last week we talked about "TABLE MANNERS" and the significance of how we act at the table.
Well this week, we will continue to dig a little deeper and talk "EXTENDING THE TABLE". We will ask some important questions about who is not at our table and why. What is our plan to change that and more importantly do we want to change it. We may find ourselves in the interesting place of not really wanting anything different than what we currently have!! We will take a look at the instructions given by Jesus to see if it justifies our argument of "just is four and no more"!! Let's see what we come up with this week.
