Over the last several weeks, the story of the early church has been unfolding before us. We have been walking through the Acts of the Apostles and Paul’s first journey to the newly established Christian churches, only to discover that many of the challenges they faced are the same (or very similar) to the ones we face in 2018. Questions around leadership, why we should believe in the first place, who to believe and the age-old question of who is “in” and who should be kept “out”. Ancient struggles that have continued into the contemporary.

But over the last couple of weeks, we have been reminded that we are the DREAM TEAM for the future of the church. How do we face these continuing challenges? What should we do to continue to share the Good News about God’s love to future generations? You were invited to write those dreams down last Sunday. But, now what happens to them? Who puts them into action?

Good question!!! Maybe we should spend some time talking about that this week as we think about BUILDING THE TEAM. Who is, in fact, on the “inside” and who should be eliminated? Where do we need to draw the lines or who should be invited in to help broaden our dream? Let’s see what we come up with together!
