Keep Sowing Seeds
Romans 8:5-11, Matthew 13:18-23 / Have you ever noticed how “wasteful” the sower is in Jesus' famous parable? He doesn't just stick to the perfect, manicured dirt—he throws his seed everywhere. On rocky paths, among thorns, and on good soil alike. This Sunday, we are diving into what this tells us about the heart of God. God isn’t careful or selective with God’s love—God is extravagant.
God’s grace is given to everyone extravagantly, without prejudice or judgement. But the story doesn't end with how we receive that grace—it’s also a call for us to stop playing it safe and start scattering seeds of love and kindness everywhere we go.
Whether your heart feels like good soil or a bit rocky this week, there is a place for you here.
Join us this Sunday at 10:00 am in person or online on our Woodridge UMC YouTube Channel as we learn what it means to live in the Spirit and keep spreading seeds!
