In our day and time a lot has been made about individualism and "looking out for me" type attitudes.  From every aspect of life, we are encouraged to only look out for ourselves with no regard to others.  An attitude and perspective that leans toward exclusion and elitism.

Our passages for this Sunday remind us that the current attitudes of our society are not the same attitudes of those who follow Jesus or sometimes viewed as directly opposite.  What a difficult place to find ourselves!!!  And yes, it makes our lives so difficult!!!

The reminders we see in our scriptures let us know that the task is not impossible.  It is "OUR MISSION TO THE WORLD" that encourages us to see the world through a different set of lens.  So let's see how we can re-focus our perspectives on how we live and how we treat one another.  Maybe there will be some suggestions on Sunday!
