Restore the Kingdom Now

Acts 1:1-11 / Luke 24:44-53
When the disciples saw the risen Jesus, they were ready for a revolution. They asked, "Lord, are you going to restore the kingdom to Israel now?" They had the King; they wanted the power; they wanted the results right now.
How often do we feel the same? In a world filled with war, injustice, and economic anxiety, we find ourselves impatient. We want God to "fix it" immediately. But in our impatience, we often fall into the trap of making our own gods or trying to control the world ourselves—closing our eyes to the suffering of those around us.
This Sunday, we explore Jesus’ profound response to our "Now." He shifts our focus from calculating the end to becoming witnesses.
