Often In life we encounter people who want to "show us how much they know" about something.  And then when we counter back with more information than they have, the response is "you've met your match".  This encounter covers almost every facet of life from sports and entertainment to grocery shopping.  That is the premise behind "new and improved" products and services and all types of competitive activities.  It is human nature to feel the confidence of having the knowledge and ability to win. 

We often hear how the Pharisees tried to "one up" Jesus, flaunting their knowledge and asking unanswerable questions or asking questions that would constitute "chargeable offenses" in the Jewish and Roman circles.  Yet, without fail we see and hear the response given by Jesus and want to yell from the stadium bleachers... "You've Met Your Match!"
